News - Annual Report 2017: more help is needed

ALAN – Maladies Rares Luxembourg published its 2017 Annual Report at its general assembly, which was held on the 20th of April in Mamer. In 2017, the consultation service of ALAN received 21% more requests for administrative, social and psychological support. This steep increase led the organization to more than double the number of consultations that it offers free of charge. These numbers, among others, underline the importance of the implementation of the National Plan for Rare Diseases, recently presented at the Chamber of Deputies. The development of this national plan was one of the major projects towards which the ALAN team and administrative board contributed their expertise in 2017.
